Students in this group are involved in all things environmental. In association with Pestfree Kaipātaki, we carry out trapping pulses in the local Rangatira Reserve to control predator pests. We also carry out further pest control work, such as setting hornet traps due to the recent outbreak in the Kaipātaki area. Students also carry out planting on the college campus to improve the environment for all students. Other activities take place during the year such as making beeswax wraps for Plastic Free July and preserving citrus fruit when the fruit is plentiful.
