At Birkenhead College, all students are mainstreamed and have the option to attend the Learning Support Centre to address additional learning needs. Through a nurturing and focused environment, the LSC provides a range of support. This includes 1:1 assistance, small group instruction, as well as teacher aide support within subject classrooms.
We work collaboratively alongside specialist teachers, subject teachers, deans and the Pastoral Care Team to provide cohesive support that allows our students with additional learning needs to achieve to their potential. The Learning Support Centre provides a safe environment for our neurodiverse students to build meaningful relationships with our teachers to optimise and enhance their college experience.
